Priyamani missed the state award

National Award winner Priyamani missed the state award for the Malayalam movie 'Thiraikatha'. Priyamani and Priyanka was in line and had neck-to-neck competition. Till the final round both had equal chances of winning the award but at the end Priyanka bagged the award. She had dubbed in her own voice based on which she was chosen for the award. The movie 'Thiraikatha' was based on the life of popular actress Srividhya.

When asked about missing the state award, Priyamani said that she was happy and satisfied with the reviews and comments from her fans and the media about her performance in the movie. She said knows Malayalam and is yet to learn the nuances of the language. She also said that she will dub for all her Malayalam films.
