Priyamani as Surpanakha in Raavana

The National Award winner is prepared to treat her fans with her new role in the bilingual project of veteran director Mani Ratnam. Priyamani will be donning the role of Surpanakha in the upcoming movie 'Raavana' in Hindi and 'Asokavanam' in Tamil which is the adaptation of the great epic Ramayana. She accepted the offer from Mani Ratnam immediately and she is happy that she has been awarded one of the toughest roles in the film. When asked about the new offer Priyamani said that Mani Ratnam is an institution himself and she is very much interested in doing a role in his film.

With this offer from Madras Talkies, Priyamani will be the next south Indian actress to appear in the Bollywood movie. Though it will not be her direct venture, she is also a part of the big project.
